What A Journey!
I have never been really good at keeping up with this blog… I’m going to give it another try! How is it already March 1st? It seems like only yesterday we where getting ready for Christmas. Each year seems to be passing more and more quickly. I am really trying hard to be present in each moment as we are in such a state of transition. I don’t want to keep wishing for the next step in our new journey and miss out on the incredible things God has in store for us now! If you keep us with us on Facebook, The Hembree Crew, you know that we are newly appointed missionaries working with Royal Rangers International. While we are currently raising our budget and traveling around to churches sharing our vision each week, we are also connecting with individuals throughout the week. Last night I took Scotty to the YMCA for his swim lessons, so he can learn proper techniques and just be a better swimmer, I was going to enjoy the hot tub. Well… the idea was good until I realized that there where two other people in there. I went on in and although I really didn’t want to talk, I ended up getting to share our journey with a complete stranger. Sometimes it’s in those times that God opens the door to share your faith. I was able to share about how faithful God is through this journey…all because I opened my mouth and said hello. Don’t miss those opportunities that God puts in your path! Sometimes it’s those day to day “God appointments” that are so easily overlooked. It is certainly not easy to always be present and in the moment…just being real! With so many transitions since May… Moving, homeschooling, traveling, job changes, and the list goes on… We are so excited to get our funds raised so we can get started on what we feel God has called us to do! My heart longs to be on the island of Curaçao where we can give the leaders the tools they need to mentor the boys (and girls) there! Then to be able to work with this ministry worldwide! How can I long for this place that I had never heard of until 6 months ago? Only God…Please pray with us that we can get the funds raised quickly so we can get started on the work God has called us to do!
