Here are answers to a few common questions we get asked.
What is a monthly Faith Promise?
In its simplest form: A Faith Promise is a monthly commitment between you, the Hembrees, and God. The purpose is to bring the financial support to help fulfill the mission God has given them. It is a way for you to speak to the leadership of Assemblies of God World Missions, letting them know you believe in both the calling of the Hembrees and the work they plan to do.
By committing to a monthly Faith Promise, you become a part of their Support Crew, a group of people who sustain them in the mission. It is a promise to be kept, by faith, as there are no bills sent for the Faith Promise; all you will receive is a receipt after each gift.
Why a monthly Faith Promise?
Assemblies of God World Missions has found the best way to sustain the work a missionary does is through monthly giving. Monthly gifts are smaller in amount and more easily maintained by the donor, which helps everyone involved. It also keeps the missionary in the mind and heart of those on the Support Crew, which translates into more regular prayer support on their behalf.
A monthly Faith Promise can be paid in a variety of different ways (monthly, quarterly, annually, etc.), let us know so we can assist you in the process.
What does a Faith Promise look like?
There really isn’t any particular amount expected and every gift is deeply appreciated. We have partners ranging from $5 to $300 a month. Prayerfully find an amount that works for you and take a step of faith. The important thing: do our best and trust God to do the rest.
How is a Faith Promise made?
We want you to know any amount you can do is greatly appreciated. Here are 3 ways to get started:
Go to s1.ag.org/hembereepledge and fill out the online pledge form. From there you will also be given the opportunity to set up a recurring monthly payment. You can give monthly through a credit/debit card.
Mail a Faith Promise form followed by monthly contributions to AGWM 1445 N. Booneville Ave, Springfield, MO 65802

What happens if a Faith Promise can’t be kept?
Support Team Members – Nothing happens; no one tries to collect any unpaid balance. It is truly a Faith Promise between you, God, and the Hembrees.
The Hembrees – They simply do not receive the gift in their monthly deposit from AGWM. As long as enough money comes in to meet their budget nothing extra is asked of them. If the monthly amount falls short of their budget they will need to raise those funds once again.
We are close to having our monthly Faith Promise budget fully funded. Once it’s raised we can start our mission to mobilize the church in Curacao and the world to reach and mentor the next generation. The only thing keeping us from taking this step is the last 16% of our Faith Promise budget. Can you help us?
